Jaya Bachchan, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Wamiqa Gabbi commence Dil Ka Darwaaza Khol Na Darling shoot in Goa

Jaya Bachchan, renowned for her versatility, is taking on another unconventional role in her upcoming film, Dil Ka Darwaaza Khol Na Darling. The first look of this romantic comedy, which stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Wamiqa Gabbi in lead roles, showcases the veteran actress in a playful and quirky avatar. In the film, Jaya portrays a singer performing on stage alongside Wamiqa and Siddhant.

It’s time to get a little crazy with lots of love. Beginning their first leg of shooting in Goa, the film promises to be an exciting journey with a stellar cast on board.

In one of the sequences, Jaya dons a white shirt paired with a long black skirt and matching scarf, exuding charm as she performs. Meanwhile, Siddhant and Wamiqa adopt casual looks and striking romantic poses during the song. Siddhant sports a vibrant red sweatshirt and jeans, while Wamiqa dazzles in a multi-coloured floral dress. Currently being filmed in Goa, Dil Ka Darwaaza Khol Na Darling also features Swanand Kirkire in a significant role. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film is co-produced by Ramesh Taurani, Harman Baweja, Rohandeep Singh, Viraj Sawant, and Ramesh Pulapaka. The film will have a theatrical release planned for 2025.

Jaya was last seen in Karan Johar’s romantic drama, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. She played the grandmother of Ranveer Singh’s character. While her previous role had a slightly darker tone, the initial glimpses from Dil Ka Darwaaza Khol Na Darling present her in a more light-hearted manner.

Siddhant Chaturvedi’s upcoming projects

Siddhant has recently wrapped up filming for Dhadak 2, alongside Triptii Dimri, which is currently in post-production. This romantic drama is a spiritual sequel to the 2018 film Dhadak, starring Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor. And it unfolds a forbidden love story. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, the film also features Saurabh Sachdeva and Deeksha Joshi in key roles. It is co-produced by Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures.

Wamiqa Gabbi’s Upcoming Projects

Wamiqa recently appeared in Vishal Bhardwaj’s spy-thriller Khufiya (2023). She will soon be seen in the Tamil magical realism fantasy Geni, featuring Jayam Ravi. Additionally, she will star in Varun Dhawan’s action-drama Baby John, directed by Kalees and produced by Atlee.
